Jazz
This energetic class will teach the basic steps, vocabulary, and variations of Jazz dance commonly used in musical theater. Students will learn the basic Jazz technique, which is based on the elements of Classical Ballet. The class consists of warm-up exercises, upper and lower body isolations, and seated exercises that help the student gain strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination. Musicality and performance skills are taught through dance combinations that are later built upon into choreographic sequences.

Join this exciting, rhythmic fitness and dance form enjoyable for all levels of study. Rooted in African-American History, Tap offers a variety of styles and techniques for the diverse learner and for the Classical Ballet student. Students will experience learning the basics of Tap dance and will learn to build these skills into visually appealing, rhythmic patterns and combinations.
Broadway Jazz Series
This elective offers our advanced students a fun and innovative approach to jazz dance. Students will build upon their previously learned skills in this upbeat contemporary, musical theater style class. This series begins on Wednesday, January 16th and ends on Wednesday, March 6th, 7:30-8:30 PM
