Trinka Lowe was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and began her training there with Dulce Anaya. She joined Jacksonville Ballet Theatre, where she performed in ballets such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, The Firebird, Les Sylphides, La Bayadere, and Cinderella, as well as original works by Ms. Anaya.
She also studied at the New York School of Ballet with Richard Thomas, and Daniel Levans. She received a scholarship to University of Utah, where she studied under Conrad Ludlow, Joy Ludlow, and Li Chou Cheng. She joined Utah Ballet while in Salt Lake City.
Trinka also earned a scholarship, and her BFA, in dance, from Jacksonville University, where she studied with Sandra Robinson-Waldrop, and performed with JU Dance Theatre.
While attending school, she taught ballet at Douglas Anderson School of the Performing Arts, in Jacksonville for 2 years.
She was an instructor and Assistant to the Director at Evergreen City Ballet in Auburn, Washington, under the direction of Wade Walthall. In 1998 Trinka Lowe moved to Ft. Myers, and has been here ever since.
