Gulfshore Ballet announces new instructors for the 2016-17 season!

Gulfshore Ballet would like to welcome Jose Gamero and Carolina Machado Gamero to our faculty! ​

Jose Gamero

Mr. Gamero joined Silicon Valley Ballet (then known as Ballet San Jose) in 2014. He was born in Valencia, Venezuela and started his dance studies on a full scholarship at the Miami City Ballet School. He has received training from Franklin Gamero, Iliana Lopez, Luis Serrano, Paula Nunes, Osmany Montano, Julio Montano, and Vladimir Isaeev. Mr. Gamero has performed with Ballet de Monterrey in Mexico, Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, Ballet Gamonet, and Ballet Des Moines. His repertoire includes Don Quixote, Diana and Action, Grand Pas Classique, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, Cinderella, The Nutcracker, Snow White, Square Dance, La Bayadère, and Le Corsaire. Mr. Gamero was a guest dancer with Brandon Ballet's "Dancing Through Generations Gala" in Brandon, Florida. Mr. Gamero has taught at School of Classical Ballet and Dance in Iowa, Americas Ballet School in Tampa and Western Ballet in San Jose."


Carolina Machado Gamero

Ms. Machado joined Silicon Valley Ballet (then known as Ballet San Jose) in 2014. At the age of 7, Carolina began her training at the Escola de Dancas Maria Olinewa and Ballet Liudmila Polonskaya in Brazil. At 12, she placed in the top 12 of the Junior Category at the Youth America Grand Prix Finals in New York City.

The following year, she moved to North America and trained on scholarship at the National Ballet School of Canada, the Harid Conservatory, School of American Ballet, and Miami City Ballet School. In 2008, Carolina performed in the second Beijing International Ballet Festival in China. She has performed with Boston Ballet, CIA Brasileira de Ballet and Ballet Des Moines. Her repertoire includes Giselle, La Bayadère, Don Quixote, The Four Temperaments, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Raymonda, Square Dance, Cinderella, Scherzo a la Russe, Swan Lake, Paquita, The Merry Widow, Satanella, and The Nutcracker. Ms. Machado has taught at Santa Clara Ballet School and School of Classical Ballet and Dance.
