Gulfshore Ballet's Level 8 student Adele Devito introduces beginner ballet classes to children at the Heights Center in Fort Myers.
The Heights Foundation is a charitable organization working to build strong, self-sufficient families in the Harlem Heights neighborhood. Their mission is to support education and wellness, promote family and community development, and provide the benefits of enrichment and the arts.
Gulfshore Ballet proudly welcomes a partnership with the Heights Foundation promoting art education in the local community through Gulfshore Ballet’s Community Outreach Program. On Wednesdays after school, students at the Heights Center will learn proper ballet technique through weekly classes taught by one of Gulfshore Ballet’s pre-professional dancers. This student lead educational outreach program teaches the fundamentals and basic positions of classical ballet. The program runs throughout the school year with participation in the Height Center’s special holiday and spring performances highlighting their newly-learned skills.
We are so pleased to have formed this partnership with the Heights Foundation!
